The adverse effects that the environmental hazards are causing to health are of a serious concern. There are other economic and social consequences from the environment which contributes to ill health. It is not just a local concern but a serious issue that has to be resolved by gathering international response.

Living creatures are going to get affected by famine, drought and the after effects of global warming. Every one’s been talking about global warming, there is no need to explain what this means to you all. Extreme temperature variations, depletion of the ozone layer, extinction of species, depletion of fossil fuels are all inter related.

With the depletion of ozone layer there would not be a protective layer to absorb the harmful ultra violet radiations from the sun. As a result, this would lead to serious health complications such as skin cancer, lung diseases, breathing problems etc. The early signs of global warming are already showing up in the form of rise in epidemic diseases, extinction of species etc. Deforestation is directly affecting the environment as there are hardly any trees to absorb the carbon di oxide. As a result, there is greater emission of carbon di oxide which will choke the living species in the planet causing death. Global warming is looked at as a serious weapon of massive destruction and has to be targeted now.

There is a need to have a comprehensive overview of these international problems, its causes, after effects, the future world and what young leaders can do about it.
