Phones used to be used just to call someone when you needed or wanted to talk to them. This is no longer the case because you can do nearly everything with a lot of phones, especially smart phones such as the iPhone. It allows you to talk, text, surf the web, watch videos, listen to music, and countless other things. There are quite a few ways to make your iPhone experience even better and more enjoyable .

1. If you're a fan of texting like so many people are in today's society instead of talking you can improve the speed of your typing by touching the space bar twice in a row. This is the quick way to insert a period instead of changing the keypad pattern on the screen.

2. Keeping up with the being able to text quickly theme the iPhone automatically adds capitals to words that should be capitalized and also inserts apostrophes where they should be. This isn't something you need to modify but it is something interesting to know about the device.

3. When you are texting you are given a standard keyboard on screen. You can switch to other layouts if necessary but you can also hold down a letter and be given optional different characters to insert if this is necessary for any reason, especially typing in foreign languages.

4. Some people cannot go for any length of time without their phone, even if it is necessary to get a phone backup completed. Unfortunately when you back your phone up if you receive a phone call then you will lose any progress you have made. This can be avoided by removing the SIM card during the backup process. It doesn't hurt the phone either.

5. It can be a bit hard to surf the internet on your iPhone when you're used to a standard size monitor. All pages are suited for mobile devices either so by quickly double tapping a column the page can get fit to your screen to allow simpler navigating.

6. You can quickly get your phone to perform a quick and simple reset by holding the home and sleep buttons simultaneously.

7. Screenshots come in handy for showing someone something interesting on a webpage. You can quickly take one by holding down the sleep button and clicking the sleep. Be careful not to hold the sleep or a reset will happen.

8. Sometimes you want to protect your kids from explicit content. This is possible through parental controls found in the settings of the iPhone.

9. Images can quickly be saved into the phone by holding your finger down on it. This will give you an option to save the picture if you want to directly in your library of images.

10. You can enter a URL very quickly into the address bar and save yourself some time by skipping out on the www that usually is entered in at the beginning of the domain name. The iPhone has the functionality to be able to read URLs without this being needed.
