Exploring The United Kingdom For A Home

The United Kingdom is made up of the countries England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Island. These four beautiful entities have plenty of property available for an investor looking to establish a home. Whether they rent property or buy it, it becomes a matter of taste as to where the property is finally located.

England spans from the waters of the channel to the south all the way to Hadrian’s Wall and the borders of Scotland to the north. It offers a potential buyer plenty in the way of amenities, public transportation, and historical sites and tourist attractions. It is not difficult to traverse the country as the railways are in constant use there. For those people who enjoy the seaside, the city of Portsmouth, and the small towns and villages within it, offer you everything in the way of interest and convenience. Primarily a naval town, it is the home of Charles Dickens, has one of the biggest indoor play areas, and beach promenade that gives one a delightful view of the Isle of Wight on a clear day. Flats for sale in Portsmouth are listed as starting at £52,500.00.

Of course the coast isn’t the only option for people wanting to go to the United Kingdom in search of property. If city living is more your style, London has everything you could possibly need. From the nightlife to the historical, London has constant transportation, employment opportunity and is a good central location for any day trips one would desire. It also has the Tower of London, Big Ben, and the Houses of Parliament all situated along the River Thames. Flats in London start at £179,999.00

Moving north we come into Scotland, a country full of rolling moors, lochs, and clans. Nessie lives here in the depths of Loch Ness, and there is still evidence in the countries rich and vibrant heritage in the many festivals scattered across the country. Scotland is also the home of St. Andrews golf course, the first and oldest golf course in the world. The weather is colder and harsher, but the people are friendly and hearty. Glasgow and Edinburgh offer city opportunities with old charms and flats there begin at £179,000.00 for a three-bedroom.

Wales is the home of beautiful and colourful tulips. Like England and Scotland, Wales also has rich heritage and it is rumoured that the Legends of King Arthur may have been born in the beautiful country. It is the birthplace of many famous people, like Dylan Thomas and Tom Jones and is known as ‘the land of enchantment’. Interested investors can find both cities and rural areas to buy property in. Cardiff, the capitol of Wales, offers flats starting as low as £60,000.00.

Northern Ireland is the last of the countries in the United Kingdom. U2, shamrocks, and leprechauns have all come from the Emerald Isle and it is rich in tradition and culture. Still struggling with conflict between the UK half and the Irish half, Ireland still offers investor’s wonderful opportunities for a home away from home. Homes and apartments in Belfast, the capitol, start at around £145,000.00.

No matter which portion of the United Kingdom you decide to invest in, research and weight all your options, keep an eye on the currency rates, and make an informed decision so that you can enjoy the home you just invested in for a long time to come.
