These are programs dropped online into your computer while you are surfing through the Internet. Spywares can affect your PC in many different ways, but most of them are used for tracking your work. These programs respond back with the information to its main website, leaving no clue to the user. Just download an anti spyware software or a spyware clean up software from the Internet and run it. Locate the spywares and delete them accordingly. Check the response of your PC. Even if your computer is not responding faster, then it must be viruses Viruses often slow down your computer’s performance. They can be dangerous to the extent of crashing your PC’s motherboard. Though these kinds of viruses are not very common, first and foremost install a good anti virus software in your PC. Scan your documents properly, especially those which you installed from the floppies, through pen drives and from the Internet. The documents refer to all that were downloaded or installed - music files, movie files, mail attachments, games, software updates, photos etc. Delete the ones that are found. If you don’t have a firewall installed, install it as soon as possible. Remember to turn it on every time you put the Internet on. Similarly, turn on your anti-virus and anti spyware software. These will prevent virus attacks and spyware attacks. Run the registry clean up software at least once in every month. See how fast is your computer responding.
